Just as we worked with arithmetic sequences (adding a common difference to find the next term), we are going to learn about geometric sequences.

See if you can figure it out first by reading section 11-3, pages 662-666.

There are two formulas, they are given on page 663, let's look at the table above it and see how they made these formulas.


Let's use these formulas to do problems #6-16 as a class from page 667.
